Beverly J. Paschal, Ph.D.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been in private practice for 27 years. During that time, I have worked with several clients from the LGBTQ+ Community. Taking the step to get married is a very important one. During this time of planning, you may hit some bumps in the road or stumble on some issues. This is where premarital counseling comes in. It's good to do approximately 4 sessions before you get married just to cover the main topics that often trip couples up. They are: finances, kids, religion and sex. Now days there are also issues with blending families that are often coming up. If you are hitting a few bumps, it's good to learrn to communicate through them prior to your wedding to get them out of the way. There are also just every day topics that couples feel need to be discussed prior to the big day. I would be honored to work with you both to help prepare you for this most important decision.
