Rabbi Richard Winer has been performing same sex wedding ceremonies for many years.  He meets with the couple in advance (whenever possible) of the ceremony date in order that they may get to know each other and to talk about the ceremony.  This is important not only in a same sex ceremony but also in an interfaith and Jewish wedding as well.  During the meeting they discuss together their ideas and wishes regarding the wedding ceremony.  They talk about vows, poems, music and any heartfelt words they may wish to say to each other during the ceremony.  Rabbi Richard Winer then puts together the wedding ceremony in a way which will be very meaningful and memorable to the couple.

The couple are encouraged to discuss any other issues they may have regarding the ceremony and their future marriage.  A pre-marital counseling session is provided at that time.
