What is B-GLADD?

B-GLADD stands for Bisexuals, Gays, Lesbians, and Allies to Develop Diversity.  This is a student club at Lake Land College where anyone and everyone are welcome; no matter their age, race, gender, or sexual orientation.  We are here to promote diversity and understanding both on campus and in today’s society.

Who Can Join B-GLADD?

Anyone who is a Lake Land College student can join.  It doesn’t matter if you are Gay, Bi, Lesbian, Transgendered, Straight or any other combination.  We are here to accept everyone for who they are and strive to create a safe, comfortable environment for all.

What Does B-GLADD Do?

This is a student club at Lake Land College, so the students decide each semester what type of activities to participate in during the semester.  At our meetings, we typically discuss issues that are happening in today’s society.  We often plan events and displays for such things as National Coming Out Day (fall) and The National Day of Silence (spring) as well as school activities like Welcome Day and the Spring Carnival.  The club also holds fundraisers to raise money for various charities and help where we can in the community.
