The flow of a wedding at the Lord Thompson Manor is structured to create a party, rather than a conventional "sit- down" style Wedding Reception. Following your Ceremony, begin your reception with a Champagne toast, typically from our Side Garden Balcony. After the toast, Cocktails and Hors D'oeuvres are served across the property, encouraging your guests to mingle and explore The Manor. When it's time, we seat your guests in the Dining Rooms for a dinner that features our Chef's Duo Entree Plate. After only about an hour, we initiate a first dance, cake cutting, or any formalities you would like to include to get your guests up and off their dining tables and together in the Conservatory. The music takes it away for the rest of the Reception. Cake, coffee, and dessert are served at stations so there is no need for your guests to go back to their formal tables. A party, just the way we like it, where your guests are participants throughout the evening rather than spectators at their tables.
