The Indianapolis Propylaeum is a 1890s Victorian mansion with a rich history of supporting women's rights, arts, and culture. Located in the Old Northside, we are minutes from Downtown Indianapolis and home to two venue locations as well as a beautiful lawn. The Propylaeum is a full-service operation featuring staff, tables and chairs, linens, decor, bridal suites, guest rooms, and free parking. We offer catering through MBP Distinctive Catering, with some of the lowest catering minimums in Indianapolis. The Propylaeum is a perfect venue for your ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, rehearsal dinner, shower, or all of the above!
Our stunning 1890s Victorian mansion makes the perfect backdrop for any elegant affair. From the hand-carved dark wood grand staircase in the foyer to the alluring ceiling murals, our 16,000 square foot home offers delicate details inside and out. Our to the wrought-iron fence surrounding the property and our iconic front doors are a wedding-day picture must. Complete with unique, antique furnishings, the Propylaeum is perfect for couples looking for a timeless, elegant estate just minutes from Downtown Indianapolis.

We rented out the Propylaeum as our wedding venue recently, and let me tell you it was FANTASTIC. It is such a beautiful place to get married. LaurieAnne makes all of the planning for the event easy. If you are getting married, this place is definitely worth checking out. We stayed at the Propylaeum after the wedding as well and it's a great place to stay. Plenty of space and in a great area around Indy. Janice was fantastic as well.
