Hi I'm Cara Winter, the lead photographer and owner of Memories in Time Photography. Although we are located in the beautiful Twin Cities, we photograph all over the country. I look forward to talking to you about capturing your memories in beautiful detail. We have proudly photographed LGBT weddings around the country since 2008.
You want someone who can tell the story of your wedding day, I can do just that... I find great joy in telling the story, through images, of a couple's dream day. Several of my past couples have made comments to my friendly and upbeat personality, along with my ability to learn 30-50 names of the people important to their day. This has greatly enhanced my ability to connect not only with the couple, but to the wedding party, family, and guests. My goal is to give every couple the best experience in their lives. I deliver images that help a couple re-live every memory and moment of their wedding day.

Cara is great!Cara photographed my wedding to my wife in 2019. We're an LGBT couple, and I was having issues with my father who'd invited himself to the wedding despite his disapproval. In other words, drama ensued When she saw me crying, Cara came to me and walked with me around the outdoor venue, helping to calm me. Wedding photography is as much a mental discipline as art. Cara was so helpful! Her photography did not suffer; the photos are wonderful reminders of the day. She's kind and sensitive, and her attention to all the little details, her ability to incorporate the high emotions of a wedding, is exemplary.

Our Beautiful Winter WeddingWe LOVED working with Cara and Memories in Time Photography. Our wedding was put together on a rush, we live out of state, and there was VERY little time to put a lot of moving parts into play. We wanted a December wedding and was limited on options. Cara was great with her flexibility, the limitations of the time and space, and her ability to make everyone feel relaxed. We highly recommend Cara for all LGBTQ weddings.
