Lake Pontchartrain Basin Maritime Museum

The Maritime Museum in historic Madisonville (LPBMM) is quickly becoming a sought out venue for weddings and various parties. We offer indoor and outdoor spaces for many events! While the Museum's focus is on education and research of our rich Maritime history in the area we also offer event rentals! We have a beautiful outdoor area with 100' of dock space directly on the Tchefuncte River on the Northshore of New Orleans. We have a historic lighthouse keepers cottage just steps from the dock that allows the wedding party a magical area to get ready in. We allow use of the cottage all day on your wedding day! You may have brunch or lunch delivered and enjoy the beautiful river views and the soft breeze from the water. Most of our weddings move from the dock area after the ceremony to the event center located inside the Museum. If you prefer you may keep your entire event outdoors on the lawn.

If using the event center we will set up all tables and chairs as you wish. Our event planner can assist you with any planning details you may need. We have a full kitchen, large bathrooms, excellent parking and we are extremely easy to get to by car or boat! We very recently remodeled our
