Our Ceremony Date:

We got engaged the first time after only dating for two months... I know seems a little rushed. But, we both new that their was something once-in-a-lifetime between us. We were living in New York at this time and didn't have the option of even a civil union. So, we settled on a long-term engagement. Then, a year and half ago, we moved to CT. We we discovered they had passed a same-sex marriage law, Emma immediately fell to the ground on one knee and proposed. It was an easy choice to say yes (again).

The Day We Got Engaged was...

Emma and I met in college. The very, very first time was at a meeting of the local collegiate gay/lesbian club. At the time, I considered myself straight and was there strictly as an ally. Then, we found we both had a passion for Emergency Medicine and became part of the Rescue Squad on campus. After two years of friendships (and some alcohol to help loosen the tongue) our true feelings for each other were revealed. It's been four years, and many adventures later, and we are still going strong with lots of love for each other.
